Consumer Ratings and Reviews for Motorola Entice W766 Phone (Verizon Wireless)

Review: Not a bad phone
I purchased this phone because I didn't need one with the internet, touch screen, etc. It has been a very good phone. I'm not sure what everyone is talking about regarding verizon's $10/month charge as I'm not charged that. All in all, it has been a pretty decent phone.

Review: Choose another phone...
For the past 10 years, I've used only Motorola flip phones. When the time came earlier this year for a new one, I waffled between this phone and the LG Chocolate. What a mistake I made for choosing this one! I really only use my phone as a phone (no texting, web surfing, just for calls) and this phone barely functions in this capacity. It needs to be charged frequently (every few days), even if you're not talking on it. It will go from 2 bars of 'charge', beep once to say it's low on battery, and then cut off and be dead all within a 10 minute phone conversation. I think I could turn up the volume and hear just as well as using the speaker phone. Even scrolling through to get to the contacts (if your contact has more than one phone number) is a pain. I'm now beginning to look at other phones as I just can't stand this one...in short, stay away!

Review: Screens crack
I bought two such phones. One had its main screen crack within one month. The other had its front screen crack within three months. I have never had this problem with other phones before.

Review: Skip it
Got two of these phones- one for me and one for my wife- as part of our "new every two" plan last December. The call quality is pretty good, but if you expect decent battery life, skip this phone. I've never had a phone that can go from 50% power (2 bars) to zero an hour after making a 3 minute call. It seems that if you don't use the phone much, the battery will last a week or two on a charge, but make any calls and it shoots down in nothing flat.

The front face of this phone is also extremely annoying. Go to check the time and accidentally hold the wrong area of the front too long, and it'll start playing the stock junk music via it's built in mp3 player. Or it will switch to vibrate mode.

There are plenty of good phones out there. This isn't one of them. Now I just have to wait 1.75 years to get a new one.

Review: Motorola Entice works well
I purchased this phone in order to have a fairly basic Motorola. Beware: this phone has the capability of connecting to the internet so Verizon charges $10 per month extra if you buy this phone to use on the Verizon network. It gets great reception and has good talk quality. Verizon was discontinuing this phone when I purchased it from Amazon.
